Kells Choir Brings Song and Smiles to Chez Doris

The women at Chez Doris, a women’s shelter in Montreal, were moved in many senses when the Kells choir visited them for a special performance. In honour of Mother’s day, we felt that it would be a kind gesture to bring some joy into the lives of these women.

It was a meaningful experience for the students who had a tour of the shelter and learned about the wonderful services that Chez Doris provides to women in the community. Kells Academy encourages philanthropy and community service hours are part of the curriculum. The students are always eager to support local and global organizations.

A repertoire of lovely songs was very much appreciated by the audience. The women sang along, were moving in their chairs, and it was evident that the performance brought them much happiness.
