The small size, nurturing environment and collaborative spirit of Kells Elementary facilitated connections with students in my own grade and in other grades. Everyone knew everyone. Now, years later, I have re-kindled many of those connections. I have met up with former Kells students in university, where I am studying to be an elementary teacher, and at social events. This has made me very nostalgic about my time at Kells and the connections I formed there.
