Dear Bully of Mine...

Before the holiday break, the Kells Elementary Spirit Committee performed a poignant stage-adaptation of Vicki Fraser's book, Dear Bully of Mine, for their peers and teachers.  Ms. Fraser is a Montreal-based writer and elementary school teacher.  Her anti-bullying book encourages all children to nurture their sense of self-confidence and self-esteem and to show compassion for others.

Following the performance, the Spirit Committee led a discussion on the topic of bullying.  Joseph Lambert, a violence-prevention counsellor from Prevention Montreal's Tandem organization, was in attendance.  He congratulated the Spirit Committee for their participation in a student-led initiative and presented them with a well-deserved certificate.  Way to go!
